Don't ever watch the movie "Doomsday"...omg, so gross it actually made me sick.

I really don't like excessive gore – "Countrycide" was just right to get across what they wanted to, without crossing that line, for me. I once started watching "Deep Rising" and dear God, I turned it off after twenty minutes. Same with "Demon Knight".

*shudders*

Gross.

I love this episode. The bodies and what not did not creep me out at all actually. I did love the woods scene, the surgery scene and the last scene. There were funny parts as well, I loved the burger bit, the bit were Owen was going on about sleeping outside, the look on Gwen's face when she heard Tosh had kissed Owen, when Tosh said "It didn't take you long to get your feet under the table" when she found out Gwen had kissed Owen and one of the funniest bits was when Tosh said to Owen "Need a hand getting it up" and he replied "If I did I wouldn't ask you". Sorry for ranting but I just so many good bits in this episode.

Oh, that's not ranting, lol. This is definitely one of my favourites and I'd be hard-pressed to pick best moments from it. The only thing I can say with certainty as a reason for liking it was that they all got equal time and development without the plot wearing thin to do it, and I LOVED that we were all set up to expect aliens and got humans doing it all instead.

My friends tease me about this ep, I'm wierd to the nth degree that this ep makes me hungry. Every time I watch it. Meat doesn't. And there would be no way I'd actually eat soylent green for real.

I'll go hide now.

I had forgot about this, it happened a few months ago. My friend like me only seeing the second season of Torchwood, got the first season box set. Well she came in to school after watching Countrycide and asked if Burn and Eve were going out, and I told her no and she said she thought they were because of the scene in the woods and at the end scene. I just thought it was funny, I was reminded about this after seeing this April fool http://torchwoodtv.blogspot.com/2007/04/fools-for-love.html

I bet that April Fool's went down like a lead baloon . . .  Roll Eyes BUT I can understand confusing the chemistry for something like that – when they're particularly good actors (which both undoubtedly are, lol) it's hard to remember that they are acting.

I'm not entirely sure I agree with the idea behind the April Fool's . . . it's funny to us, but might not have been for the parties involved!

Yeah, they do have great chemistry and are both amazing actors, I can see how my friend thought that. I think I may have thought the same if I hadn't already known Burn was married. I can see how that April fool may not be funny for the people involved though.

I think I would have thought it if I hadn't known he was married, too. They obviously get on with each other, in any case!

They have great chemistry, it is great how they get on so well, not just Burn and Eve but the whole cast.

I liked this episode a lot.

And I'm trying to stay safe here, but that Owen/Gwen scene in the woods... I like that scene. I like it a lot.

Ummm yeah my dvd is getting a wee bit worn in that particular place I think!  Wink
