"In the Cellar" blog has posted an in-depth review of ITV's adaptation of
Wuthering Heights, with truly stellar praise for Burn's portrayal of Hindley ( and considering how few scenes he actually had, that's no small praise at all!)
Once again, Burn Gorman, as Hindley, shows that he is an incredible actor. I must say that his portrait of Guppy (in the BBC’s adaptation of “Bleak House”, from 2005) along with his Hindley are close to perfect. Too bad most viewers tend to overlook him…
I suppose I could argue that not everyone overlooks him or we wouldn't be here, lol, but as much of his popularity has come from other roles I can see how, In
Wuthering Heights and in lots of critical review, he does get pushed to the back a bit. You can read the whole review
